On 13 November 2012, the newly established Mongolia Institute at The Australian National University hosted the inaugural Mongolia Update in Canberra. The event, hosted by ANU and supported by the Embassy of Mongolia, was aimed at informing Australian government, business and academic specialists, as well as the general public, of recent developments and trends in Mongolia's politics, economics, society, culture and environment. Part 5 features an introduction by Dr Yongwook Ryu from the School of International Political and Strategic Studies in the ANU College of Asia and the Pacific, and speaking is Professor Munkh-Ochir Dorjjugder, Director of Defence Policy Institute, who provides an analysis on Mongolian foreign pollicy and energy security.
