American CNN According to the report, Vladimir Zelensky came to power on the promise that he would end the ongoing tensions in eastern Ukraine. Has fallen on deaf ears.

When Vladimir Zelensky first appeared on TV screens as president, he was playing the role of president in a comedy series. But he became the real president in 2019. He is now the leader of 44 million people and his country has been attacked by Russia from many directions.

Vladimir Zelensky appears in the role of a teacher in the TV series “Servant of the People”, a video of which goes viral. In it, he makes an emotional speech against corruption in the country which people like and he reaches the presidency of the country. Vladimir Zelensky also named his party after the same TV program, “Servant of the People,” and ran his entire campaign with the slogan “End Corruption in Politics and Restore Peace in the Eastern Part of the Country.”

Russia’s military has crossed the border into Ukraine and Vladimir Zelensky is facing a crisis that is being described as the biggest in Europe since the end of the Cold War. While Zelensky, 44, was expressing his country’s desire to join the NATO alliance, he also urged Western leaders not to use their statements to create fear in Ukraine.

Zelensky gained fame as an actor

Vladimir Zelensky’s presidency was not a traditional one. Born to Jewish parents in Krevyrkh, Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky earned a law degree from the National Economic University of Kiev, but his passion led him to acting. As a young man, he participated in comedy shows on Russian TV. He formed a production company in 2003 which he named his comedy team ‘Crotal 95’.

Zelensky’s production company’s programs were broadcast on Ukraine’s OnePlus One network. When he ran in the presidential election, he was backed by the billionaire owner of Channel One Plus One, Klomovsky. Until 2010, Vladimir Zelensky’s focus was on his TV career. In his election campaign, Vladimir Zelensky promised to end corruption and restore peace in the country

The rise of Vladimir Zelensky in the political arena came after the events of 2014, when the country’s pro-Russian President Viktor Yanukovych was ousted after months of protests. Russia then invaded Crimea and annexed it, and a war broke out in the eastern part of the country, which continues to this day.

Vladimir Zelensky’s drama “Servant of the People” aired on Channel One Plus One in 2015, in which he played Wesley Goloboro. An emotional speech on the show led him to the presidency. Vladimir Zelensky reached the real presidency in 2019 by defeating President Petro Poroshenko by a clear margin. He received 73% of the vote and was sworn in as the country’s sixth president on May 20, 2019.

The issue of Dunbas could not be resolved

Vladimir Zelensky, in keeping with his election promise, tried to resolve the issue of Dunbas, where fighting had been raging since 2014 and 14,000 people had been killed. He held talks with Russia and exchanged prisoners. But these efforts have not been very successful. President Zelensky has failed to end fighting in the eastern part of the country.

When Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the issuance of passports to the residents of Dunbas, the chances of the Minsk agreement succeeding diminished. But despite this, a ceasefire agreement was reached in 2020, which was generally successful. However, there were occasional fights. But when President Zelensky began talking about joining the European Union and NATO, the Russian president became angry. His opponents also accused him of inexperience.

But as Western nations began issuing statements regarding the Russian invasion of Ukraine, they took a more cautious approach, urging Western leaders to refrain from creating a climate of fear in Ukraine. He tried to unite the nation and for this purpose he celebrated ‘Unity Day’ on 16th February. He regularly met with soldiers on the front lines. When asked if he could give up his desire to join NATO to avoid a Russian invasion, he told the BBC that NATO membership was one way to ensure its security.

Promise to end the influence of the elite in power

One of Vladimir Zelensky’s election promises was to end the political and economic influence of the elite in Ukraine. Some people suspected that they would not be able to do so because they themselves came to power with the help of a billionaire. But he did make some efforts to fulfill his election promise. President Zelensky sought to distance himself from his billionaire supporter. He placed under house arrest the most prominent figure in Ukraine’s elite, Viktor Medvedev, and charged him with treason. Then a law was introduced which stated who the elites were and imposed sanctions on them.

Opponents of President Vladimir Zelensky have called his actions against the creation “artificial” and claimed that he was only trying to strengthen ties with the US administration. President Vladimir Zelensky has had a hard time gaining President Joe Biden’s support. In July 2019, US President Donald Trump spoke on the phone with President Zelensky and demanded that the presidential candidate announce an inquiry into corruption against Biden, in exchange for a visit to the United States and military aid.

Trying to President Trump insisted he did nothing wrong, but then he faced impeachment. However, the Republican Party saved President Trump’s presidency.
